CIBO was founded in 1994 by partners Peter Ricketts and Darrin Ingleton who were both born and raised in London, and later became friends in Australia. As ‘untrained’ designers they take their understanding of proportion, form and structure from past building industry and cabinet-making experience, applying the same disciplines to bathroomware and furniture design.
 
Peter and Darrin recognised a gap in the Australian marketplace for design driven, high quality home storage that was not only aesthetically pleasing but offered total functionality as well. Today, they are proof that successful designers are often born, not made. From humble beginnings offering a small range of bathroom vanities, CIBO Design produces an outstanding range of bathroom storage solutions including vanity packages as well as, freestanding baths, above counter basins and more recently a range of European-style wardrobes.
